Welcome to my webpage for the Coordinator of Career Planning and Cooperative Education

About me...

After serving as an academic program development specialist, professional counselor, and career coach, I set out on an extended global research project; working and living in 20 states and 12 countries on six continents, I fulfilled a vocation exploration project called "12 Months to Live."

Each month for a year, I experimented with a new career or personal passion. I worked with the United Nations World Food Program in Nepal, produced an adventure film while trekking to Everest Base Camp, sat in silence with Trappist monks in the Bluegrass Mountains of Kentucky, and walked alone into the Cascade Wilderness for a three day/three night solo fast vision quest.

After completing my circumnavigation of the globe, I rediscovered my calling as a counselor, life and career coach, and program manager to help others explore, pursue, and fulfill their vocational goals, and their unique purpose.

A Video Production Record of An Innovation Collaborative Project

While living in Africa, I collaborated with a community of young Senegalese, djembe-making musicians called the Malika Monkeys and Mission Gorgoorlu in the development of their bio-fuel motor.  I produced, directed, and shot the following videos of their first bio-fuel motor launch and music video.

I continue to consult with the Malika Monkeys and their  diverse, multi-national team of constituents in the development of their trade school and bio-fuel motor project.

In addition to my years of  background and experience in higher education, career planning and placement, and counseling, I believe what sets me apart as a candidate for the position of Coordinator of Career Planning and Cooperative Education is my national and global network and my professional and philanthropic experiences.  The following is just one example of my documentary filmmaking service work in Africa, which also highlights my unique approach to program development.
